Laramie, Yelp: I've been following Alexis all over the west side ever since she first cut my hair in 2008. Who else would giggle with delight when you brought her a photo of Keith Richards for hairspiration? And who else could ACHIEVE the Patti-Smith-via-Keef, boxcutter-chic hairdo of my dreams?
Feels wrong somehow that I have to drive to Beverly Hills to get the perfect anti-coif, but fuck it. I'd drive to Palm Springs if I had to.

With that knowledge, she was able to give me an amazing cut that actually does what I want it to do and is totally manageable by myself. After the cut, she took me on a tour of the haircut - explained what she did and why and how I could maintain the look on my own. As someone completely inept when it comes to hair and styling, this is exactly what I needed. Plus, she is a super awesome person.

I have found in Alexis the ineffable quality you always hope to find in a hair stylist, an artist who understands not what you're saying but what you mean. Hate the commute, love the results. Ashumi K, Yelp: Alexis listens to what you need your hair to do, how much time you can spend on it daily, and even asks about your fashion style to find you the perfect cut. I have very thick hair with body and it is not easy to cut. Countless hair dressers have tried razored it or cut it so that it only works in certain styles. Alexis is patient, listens and cuts my hair wet & dry to make sure that I walk out with an amazing cut every single time. More importantly, my hair still looks good after I wash and style it on my own.

Yelp: alexis is the best. i've been searching for a new person since i left new york and after 9 years i finally found her. she knows everything about hair and manages to make my super flat, boring, weird hair look awesome without me doing anything to it. it's amazing. i shower, it dries and looks amazing. i don't know how she does it but i'm super grateful i found her and i'll never leave. and the cut looks great for MONTHS. it's crazy. i've had her do both long and short cuts and both are always great. the only down side it that i don't get to hang out with her as much as i'd like since i only need a cut every three months … best haircut experience ever. i love this woman and wish i could just hang out with her every day.
